Game 1:
Hazleton struck first in the opening inning when Trent Strohecker delivered an RBI single to score Cooper Ansbach for an early 1–0 lead. Scranton answered in the second, stringing together two RBI singles from Jake Sullivan and Alex Brinkman to take a 2–1 advantage. The back-and-forth continued in the third inning as Dylan Colantone tied the game with an RBI single, bringing home Ansbach once again. Scranton regained the lead in the fifth, capitalizing on a wild pitch to go up 3–2 despite not recording a hit in the inning. Strohecker came through again in the sixth, launching a solo home run to even the score at 3–3 and set the stage for a dramatic finish. In the seventh, Hazleton capitalized on its opportunity. After working a runner into scoring position, Ansbach delivered the game-winning hit—a single to center field that drove in Owen Walmer for the decisive run.
Ansbach led the offense, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and the walk-off RBI. Strohecker also had a standout performance, finishing with two hits and two RBIs, including the game-tying home run.
On the mound, Gavin Wallace gave Hazleton a solid start, working six innings while allowing three runs and striking out four. Mike Fidler earned the win in relief, closing the door with a scoreless seventh inning.
Game 2:
Hazleton's lineup was active throughout, racking up 11 hits and consistently putting pressure on Scranton pitching. Leading the way was Cooper Ansbach, who delivered a standout performance at the top of the order. He went 3-for-4, including a solo home run in the first inning, and scored twice while also adding an RBI. Aiden Rodriguez matched that production, also collecting three hits. He scored once and drove in a run during Hazleton's fifth-inning rally, continuing to be a reliable presence in the middle of the lineup. That fifth inning showcased Hazleton's ability to respond under pressure. Trailing 5–2, Rodriguez sparked the rally with an RBI single, and Trent Strohecker followed with a sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to just one run. Strohecker finished with an RBI and contributed to multiple scoring opportunities.
Across the lineup, contributions came from several players. Briar Campbell added a hit and scored a run, while Brandon Unger, Josh Smeltzer, and Tyler Sewell each chipped in hits to keep innings alive.
On the mound, Eli Tyrrell turned in a solid outing despite the loss. He allowed just one earned run over five innings while striking out five, showing the ability to limit damage even when facing early pressure. The bullpen trio of Sam Miller and Mike Fidler combined for two scoreless innings, keeping Hazleton within striking distance late.
