Game 1:
Hazleton came out strong in the first inning, setting the tone with aggressive contact at the plate. Tiffany Brogan got things started and later scored the team's only run, while Katelynn Frantz delivered the big hit of the day. A sharp single up the middle that brought Brogan home and gave Hazleton an early 1–0 lead.
Brogan was a standout performer offensively, finishing 2-for-3 and accounting for half of Hazleton's total hits. She also added a double, showing consistency at the plate against a tough Mont Alto pitcher. Frantz and Amber Kelly each chipped in a hit as well, with Kelly also swiping a base to create some momentum.
In the circle, Brogan battled through all seven innings against a relentless Mont Alto lineup. Despite the final score, she recorded five strikeouts and threw over 100 pitches, showing durability and determination by going the distance.
Defensively, Hazleton had moments of solid play mixed with some struggles. While four errors proved costly, the team did manage to limit damage in several innings before Mont Alto's late surge.
Game 2:
Hazleton managed just one hit on the afternoon, which came off the bat of Jada Khoun. The team had limited opportunities overall, sending only 17 hitters to the plate and striking out six times against Mont Alto pitcher Alexis Thompson, who kept Hazleton off balance throughout with a complete-game performance.
Despite the lopsided score, Hazleton showed some defensive effort early, holding Mont Alto scoreless in the second inning after a four-run first. However, things unraveled in the third, when Mont Alto erupted for seven runs, capitalizing on a mix of hits and defensive miscues.
In the circle, Kourtney Sonntag took the loss, working three innings against a potent Mont Alto lineup. Tiffany Brogan came on in relief and provided some stability, allowing just two runs (one earned) over the final two innings.
Defensively, Hazleton was hurt by five errors, which contributed to extended innings and additional unearned runs. Still, there were moments of resilience, including limiting further damage late in the game after Mont Alto had built a commanding lead.
