Game 1:
Penn State Hazleton ran into a powerful Penn State Fayette lineup on Sunday, falling 20–0 in a shortened six-inning game. Hazleton still had a few individual positives to take from the non-conference matchup.
Offensively, Hazleton was limited to just one hit on the day, but Tiffany Brogan provided the lone offensive highlight, breaking up Fayette's near-no-hit bid with a base hit. The team also worked to draw traffic on the bases, earning three walks, including a pair from Naya Rodrigues-Maldonado, who helped extend a couple of innings by reaching base and applying pressure. Despite the difficulty against Fayette's pitching staff, Hazleton showed patience in select at-bats, with Rodrigues-Maldonado and Mia Lied Solano each working walks to get on base. Those moments allowed Hazleton to briefly create baserunners, even if they could not be brought home.
Game 2:
Penn State Hazleton showed flashes of offensive firepower but could not keep pace with a relentless Penn State Fayette lineup in a 22–6 defeat
Hazleton matched Fayette early in offensive efficiency and delivered one of its stronger scoring innings of the season in the third, but a pair of explosive Fayette rallies ultimately decided the contest. The highlight for Hazleton came in the third inning, when the team erupted for five runs to briefly cut into a large deficit. Tiffany Brogan sparked the surge with a two-run home run to right field, bringing home Jada Khoun. Moments later, Mia Lied Solano delivered a bases-clearing double that scored Naya Rodrigues-Maldonado, Rachel Sanchez, and Luz Diaz to bring Hazleton within striking distance at 12–6.
Brogan had one of the standout individual performances, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs while also handling pitching duties. Solano had 3 RBIs, and Katelynn Frantz added an RBI single in the first inning to put Hazleton on the board early.
On the bases, Hazleton remained active with multiple players reaching via walks and putting pressure on Fayette's defense. Amber Kelly worked two walks out of the leadoff spot, helping extend innings, while Rachel Sanchez and Rodrigues-Maldonado also contributed to traffic on the bases.
