Nittany Lions capture the #6 seed in PSUAC Playoffs

Hazleton, Pa. - Penn State Hazleton men's basketball secured their place in the Penn State University Athletic Conference postseason on Monday with three consecutive victories, completing an incredible run to make the playoffs. Hazleton topped Penn State Schuylkill in a thrilling triple overtime victory on Friday night followed by a gutsy road victory the following afternoon on the road at Penn State New Kensington. Hazleton needed one more victory for a shot at the big dance and the Lions stamped their ticket with a resounding 80-64 win on Monday night over Penn State Mont Alto. 

Hazleton will now travel to the number three seeded Penn State York on Wednesday, February 14 for a 7:00 p.m. tip off in round one of the PSUAC playoffs. York and Hazleton battled to a tie in regulation back on November 17 where York pulled ahead in overtime for an 81-74 win over the Nittany Lions. Hazleton will look to exact revenge and continue on to Penn State Brandywine for the semi-finals on Saturday, February 17.
